The department of Physics are looking to recruit a Deputy Departmental Safety Officer in a full time permanent position.
The post-holder will be responsible for providing support to the Departmental Safety Officer to ensure the provision of advice and guidance on all health and safety matters to all staff, students and visitors working in the Department of Physics. This includes deputising for the Departmental Safety Officer.
The post-holder will be responsible for monitoring Health and Safety policies, internal, University and National and assist in the implementation of the policies.

About You
The postholder must have NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent as well as Health and Safety experience in a large complex environment. Experience of working in a physical sciences or similar laboratory environment. Excellent communication skills as well as the ability to manage their own workload. IT skills using MS Office are also essential.
