The post is available initially for a fixed-term duration of 2 years, with the possibility of extension for 1 further year.
The successful candidate will carry out research in QCD and Collider physics (theory), with a focus on parton shower development and phenomenology.
The post-holder will have the opportunity to teach.
Applicants should hold a PhD, or be close to completion, in physics or a related field and have a strong background in perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) at particle colliders. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a capacity for independent research work and should have a publication record commensurate with career stage.
Please direct enquiries about the role to Prof. Gavin Salam (gavin.salam@physics.ox.ac.uk)
Only applications received before midday (UK time) on 15 December can be considered. You will be required to upload a statement of research interests and a CV as part of your online application.
You will also be asked to provide details of at least two referees. Candidates should ensure that referees submit all references by email to ptreferences@physics.ox.ac.uk by the closing date.
