Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Theoretical Particle Physics – String Theory.
The post is available initially for a fixed-term duration of 2 years, with the possibility of extension for a year, subject to funds.
The main focus of the project will be the identification of String Theory models that recover and complete current knowledge in Particle Physics.
The successful candidate will carry out research in Theoretical Physics and will be part of a team exploring both formal and phenomenological aspects of String Theory.
The post-holder will have the opportunity to teach.
Applicants should hold, or be close to completing a PhD/DPhil in an area related to Theoretical or Mathematical Physics and have a strong background in Particle Physics and String Theory.
Previous experience in the field of Machine Learning and/or Algebraic and Differential Geometry will be an advantage.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate a capacity for independent research work and have a publication record commensurate with career stage.
Please direct enquiries about the role to Andrei Constantin (andrei.constantin@physics.ox.ac.uk)
Only applications received before midday (UK time) 15 December 2023 can be considered. You will be required to upload a statement of research interests and a CV.
You will also be asked to provide details of at least two referees. Candidates should ensure that referees submit all references ptreferences@physics.ox.ac.uk by the closing date. Documents submitted should be in PDF format and use the naming convention:
