The Centre on Migration, Policy and Society (COMPAS) at the University of Oxford is seeking to appoint a Quantitative Researcher with expertise in the statistical analysis of quantitative data on migration and migrants for a period of one year, with the possibility of extension.
COMPAS is based at the School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnography and is a leading, multidisciplinary, research centre on migration. Since its launch in 2003 COMPAS has established an international reputation for original research and policy relevance. It has undertaken a programme of multidisciplinary social scientific research, publication and dissemination, events, knowledge transfer and user engagement activities with academic and non-academic users worldwide.
The post holder will work on analysing quantitative data from different research projects and will be accountable to the Principal Investigator of the projects, Professor Carlos Vargas-Silva. The projects in which the researcher will work include Aligning Migration Management and the Migration Development Nexus ( https://www.mignex.org/), a large research project with the core ambition of creating new knowledge on migration, development and policy.
