The Social Sciences Division seeks applications for the post of Programme Coordinator for the Global Leadership Challenge. The post holder will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of preparation for the next Global Leadership Challenge taking place in December 2022. This is a full-time post, with a fixed term of six months (either as a fixed term contract or an internal secondment), and it is hoped that the successful candidate will be able to take up the role as soon as possible. Based in the Social Sciences Divisional office but working with colleagues across Oxford, the Programme Coordinator will work as part of a small Oxford-St Gallen team, helping to develop and deliver all aspects of the GLC.
The Global Leadership Challenge (GLC) is a global initiative of the University of Oxford (Social Sciences Division Doctoral Training Programme and Oxford Character Project) and the St Gallen Symposium. Its goal is to empower the next generation of responsible leaders. Established in 2020, the third GLC event will take place in a hybrid format, in Oxford and online, from 8-14 Dec 2022 and will involve a week of leadership development workshops, expert talks, and the design of tangible action projects with a focus on specific UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Educated to degree level, you will have previous experience of administration (preferably in higher education) and will possess outstanding project management skills and a proven ability to deliver successful events. You will have experience of working independently with excellent attention to detail. Proven organisational and time-management skills are also essential.
