The Financial Controller will report into the Finance Director and be responsible for leading the delivery of the School’s transaction processing, financial accounting and governance and control systems.
The post holder will ensure that they interact effectively with other central University shared finance services. Throughout, the postholder will ensure that the School’s processes are efficient, effective and understood, and remain fully compliant with the University’s control framework, and the requirements of outside bodies.
The postholder will additionally oversee the School’s procurement activity, ensuring that procurement processes comply with University policy, drive value for money, and that we develop collaborate, effective partnerships with strategic suppliers.
The Financial Controller will be responsible for the management and leadership of the team responsible for all aspects of financial accounting, transaction processing, casual and overtime payroll management, procurement, credit control, (financial) governance and control, and tax.
