We invite applications for the position of two outstanding candidates to fill a newly created Research Assistant role at Oxford Saïd Business School reporting to the Research Manager.
You will work closely with faculty and postdoctoral researchers across the School, supporting the delivery of various research projects spanning all areas of research expertise at the School. This is an excellent opportunity for you to gain academic research experience and to learn from leading academics.
Ideally you will have a background in fields such as statistics, econometrics, computer science, or social science and experience in working on research projects (either in academia or in commercial settings), such as familiarity with data collection, data scraping, data preparation, and/or data analysis is essential.
In this post you will be a member of the Saïd Business School’s research community with access to internal research seminars and other professional development opportunities from time to time.
To be considered for this role you will need to hold a recent degree (undergraduate or masters) or equivalent experience in social science, statistics, econometrics, computer science, or a closely related discipline.
You will need to have hands-on experience conducting data science work on academic and/or commercial projects and have advanced knowledge of probability and statistics and/or qualitative data analysis.
You will need to be able to work productively and efficiently in a team environment and have the ability to work to deadlines and to prioritise varied work within a varied portfolio.
