PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CLOSING DATE FOR THIS VACANCY HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 25th October 2021
The Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. The Clinical Trial Service Unit (CTSU) is a major international research institute within the NDPH, and is one of the world’s leading centres for research into chronic diseases, such as cancer and heart disease.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Nurse to work on the ‘Heart Studies Group’ portfolio of trials. The ORION-4 study Oxford site runs from our clinic rooms within NDPH. The Research Nurse will be responsible for the day-to-day running of this clinic, including conducting interviews to recruit, consent and follow-up participants, obtaining blood samples and administering study drugs.
To be considered, you will be a first level registered nurse with full current NMC registration and knowledge (and preferably experience) of working in clinical trials. You will also have an understanding of ICH-GCP, knowledge of cardiovascular disease and experience of interviewing participants (face-to-face and over the phone).
The post is full time (although part time considered) and fixed term for 2 years. The closing date for applications is noon on 25th October.
