The Ineos Oxford Institute for Antimicrobial Research (IOI) is an exciting initiative creating major new opportunities for science and advances in human health, and now aims to recruit a motivated finance manager to be responsible for the financial management of the Ineos Oxford Institute.
The post holder will support the IOI Head of Administration in strategic planning as well as ensuring the financial stability of IOI by maintaining accurate and transparent records of revenue, costs allocation and cost recovery from the programme portfolio. The post will contribute to the IOI’s budgeting and forecasting activity and interact with the Departmental Finance team to support reporting and monitoring activities. The role will enable the IOI Administration to respond proactively and appropriately to the fast-changing financial and operational environment of the Institute.
We are seeking an individual with a degree in business administration, financial accounting or equivalent. This post is ideal for an early career professional and provides the opportunity to obtain a professional CCAB accounting qualification while working as part of a new and dynamic team within Oxford University. The post holder will be expected to maintain methods of accountability, further develop accountancy structure and oversee processes for funding approvals. They will work closely with University of Oxford departmental and divisional structure, whilst maintaining processes that allow the IOI to function as an independent costing centre.
At IOI, the Finance manager will work closely with Head of Programme Management Office and Development Lead to obtain and assess programme costs and prospective fundraising opportunities. They will synthesise, analyse and present these data to inform strategic planning led by Head of Administration and the IOI Executive Committee.
This is a fixed term, full time position and is available immediately.
