<div>We are seeking a Clinical Researcher to play a leading role in an experimental medicine study aimed at developing novel biomarkers of brain circuit function.</div>

<div><strong>About the Role</strong></div>

<div>The post is funded for 12 months and is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Reporting to Dr Rob McCutcheon, Chief Investigator of the study, you will join a multidisciplinary research group within the Department of Psychiatry, University of Oxford, with expertise spanning neuroimaging, computational modelling, clinical psychiatry, and experimental medicine.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>You will work on the EXIBIT (EXcitation–Inhibition Balance Imaging using Twin modalities) study, a collaborative project between the University of Oxford and Johnson &amp; Johnson.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>You will play a central role in the conduct of this study, including participant recruitment, clinical assessments, data acquisition, and analysis. In addition to contributing to the successful completion of the EXIBIT study, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop your own research interests in neuroimaging, computational psychiatry, and biomarker development.</div>

<div><strong>About You</strong></div>

<div>You will hold a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and GMC registration, along with clinical experience in a relevant clinical setting including experimental medicine study experience.  </div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The ability to use initiative to plan and organise complex activities and programmes and manage own academic research and associated activities is essential.  You will have demonstrable, strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build rapport with research participants.  You will be able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team and to contribute to research publications and presentations is essential.</div>

<div>Experience recruiting participants to research studies and with neuroimaging methods (e.g., MRI, EEG, MEG) would be desirable.</div>

<div>The Oxford Centre for Emerging Minds Research is a newly funded research centre that has been established to conduct world class research that contributes to a world where differences between children and young people are understood and accepted, strengths are capitalised on, and mental health difficulties are prevented or addressed early in life.</div>

<div>This is a new post, with opportunities to creatively communicate through a variety of communications and engagement channels. The post-holder will provide communications and events support for the new centre, helping to promote its work to a wide range of stakeholders. They will produce outputs, advise colleagues across the centre, and work with suppliers and partners as appropriate. The role will involve creating content including press releases, newsletters, blogs and videos, managing the website and managing the delivery of OCEMR events.</div>

You will work proactively to identify, plan and coordinate press work for media-relevant activities in the centre, including drafting press releases and responding to enquiries, in liaison with relevant department colleagues and the University’s Public Affairs Directorate as applicable. <![CDATA[<div>The Department of Psychiatry and the Nuffield Department of Women's &amp; Reproductive Health intend to appoint the inaugural Professor of Women's Mental Health. This statutory Professorship will be held jointly between the two departments and carries the additional role of Founding Director of the newly established Oxford Centre for Women's Mental Health. The successful candidate will also hold a Professorial Fellowship at Wolfson College.</div>

<div>The Oxford Centre for Women's Mental Health is a major new cross-divisional initiative funded through the University's Strategic Research Fund. Established in response to urgent global calls to address the persistent women's health gap, the Centre will be the first interdisciplinary centre of its kind dedicated to advancing research, education and policy in women's mental health. Bringing together expertise from across the biological, clinical, psychological, social, cultural and structural determinants of health, the Centre will position Oxford as the leading global authority in women's mental health research and policy influence.</div>

<div>The appointee will provide intellectual and organisational leadership for the Centre, developing and delivering an ambitious strategic vision for interdisciplinary research, education, engagement and global impact. <div><strong>About the Role</strong></div>
<div>The post is funded for  2 years (from 1 November 2026) and is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.   The post is full-time although consideration will be given to candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 60% FTE).</div>

<div>This study aims to validate the accuracy, reliability and acceptability of ARIADNE, comparing its ability to assess CHR-P criteria against trained clinicians</div>

<div>You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the study. This will include coordinating participant recruitment and scheduling, assisting with study procedures, and supporting the administration of structured CHR-P assessments.  You may observe both clinician-led and AI-assisted interviews, ensure adherence to study protocols, and help collect and manage clinical and questionnaire data.</div>

<div><strong>About You&nbsp;</strong></div>
<div>You will hold a first degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Psychology), together with some relevant experience.  Demonstrable recruitment experience as part of a research project and a proven ability to work independently and proactively, exercising initiative and problem solving skills are essential.  You will also possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within established research programmes.  Familiarity with clinical high risk for psychosis, psychosis, or early intervention services and experience of contributing to research studies and publications would be desirable.</div>

<div>The post is funded until 31 March 2027 and is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.  </div>
<div>You will contribute to the development of innovative AI approaches for mental health research by designing neural networks and large language models for difficult-to-treat depression. You will contribute to the design of research materials and data collection, investigate novel machine learning methodologies—including approaches for learning from large-scale image data such as vision transformers—and analyse microscopy and other healthcare datasets. You will also contribute to drafting manuscripts for publication and work as part of a multidisciplinary team to advance cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence and mental health.</div>
