<div>Grade 10a: Combined University and College Salary: £58,265 to £77,645 per annum, plus substantial additional benefits including a College Housing Allowance of £12,887 p.a. (if applicable), a Tutorial Fellows' Allowance of £11,874 p.a., and a Fellowship Allowance of £4,079 p.a. </div>

<div>Applications are invited for an Associate Professorship of Experimental Psychology based at the Department of Experimental Psychology, Oxford, with effect from 1 October 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter. The post is in association with a Tutorial Fellowship at New College. The Associate Professor will join a dynamic and collaborative department whose aim is to conduct world-leading experimental research to understand psychological and neural mechanisms relevant to human behaviour and to translate these findings into evidence-based public benefits in mental health and wellbeing.  </div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The main duties of this post will be to conduct an independent research programme in the applicant’s area of psychological science, and to contribute to teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the department through lectures, practical classes and supervision, and to college teaching and tutorials. Within this broad focus, we particularly encourage applications from those with interest and expertise in both psychological and neural mechanisms relevant to human behaviour particularly in relation to mental health. We welcome research that helps embed experimental psychology in real-world contexts and brings tangible societal benefits, in line with our commitment to supporting impact.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>You should have a doctorate in psychology or a related science; an ability to contribute to teaching and training of undergraduate and graduate students; a strong and developing track record of research in psychology and allied fields; and current research funding or an independent research track record likely to attract competitive research grant funding. You will also be expected to participate in the administration of New College and the Department of Experimental Psychology.</div>

<div>An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly organised and numerate Finance and Grants Assistant to join the small finance and research grants teams providing financial management services to the Department of Experimental Psychology.</div>

<div>The position is fixed term until 31 March 2028 in the first instance and is full time (36.5 hours per week). Applications from candidates wishing to work at 0.8 FTE will also be considered, with hours worked over five days.The role is based within the Life and Mind Building with flexibility to work from home for up to 40% of the time once established in post.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The successful candidate will be educated to at least GCSE or equivalent, with a financial qualification or significant experience in a finance role.  Excellent communication and IT skills, accuracy, and attention to detail are essential requirements as well as a tactful and confidential approach.  Experience of financial administration and/or working in an academic or research environment would be an advantage.</div>
