<div>The Department of Oncology is seeking an experienced strategic finance professional to join the team as Head of Reporting and Transactions Management. In this senior role, you will report to the Head of Administration and Finance and provide leadership and direction to the departmental general ledger reporting and transactions management teams.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>You will lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and control for the Department, delivering high-quality analysis and insight to support decision-making. Working closely with senior stakeholders, including the Head of Department and other academic and professional services colleagues, you will advise on complex financial and operational matters in a dynamic and research-active environment.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>You will take overall responsibility for financial reporting and transactions management activities, ensuring robust, efficient and scalable processes, and overseeing year-end activities and compliance with relevant policies, including information security requirements. The role will also involve driving continuous improvement across financial processes and contributing to wider University initiatives and best practice.</div>

<div>As a key member of the Department’s senior professional services team, you will foster strong relationships across the University and with external partners, supporting the Department’s growth and strategic objectives.</div>

<div>This post is based at the Old Road Campus Research Building, Headington, Oxford, OX3 7DQ, and is offered on a permanent basis. This role is offered as 0.8 FTE and may be worked over a minimum of 4 days per week.</div>

<div><strong>About you</strong></div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA) with significant experience in a large and complex financial environment. You will have a strong track record of leading, managing and developing finance teams, alongside the ability to build effective working relationships across diverse organisational structures.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>You will bring substantial experience in financial planning, analysis and reporting, with the ability to provide clear, insightful advice to both financial and non-financial stakeholders, including senior leadership. A proactive and solutions-focused approach will be essential, along with proven experience in driving process improvements and managing change in a complex setting.</div>
<div>The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills, resilience, and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. You will also have strong technical expertise, including experience with financial systems (ideally Oracle Financials) and advanced Excel skills.</div>

<div>Experience within the Higher Education sector and knowledge of information security and GDPR would be advantageous.</div>

<div>We are seeking a HR Assistant to join the HR Team at the University of Oxford.</div>
<div>This is an exciting opportunity to join the HR team within the Department of Oncology. You will provide administrative support for the full range of HR related activity within the Department. You will have a significant amount of interaction with staff at all levels. The position demands a proactive and customer-focussed approach, coupled with high levels of personal discretion and attention to detail in dealing with confidential matters. You will also manage the visitor process within the Department.</div>
<div>You will often be the first point of contact on queries relating to recruitment and other HR matters, therefore excellent interpersonal skills and judgement will be required for this role. You will also be expected to contribute to the development of the service provided by the HR team to the Department.</div>
<div>Previous experience of working in an HR team using PEOPLE XD or a similar system would be advantageous for this role, although is not essential.</div>
<div>There may be an opportunity for some hybrid working (20% per week) once training is complete and the post holder is deemed competent within the role.</div>

<div><strong>About You</strong></div>
<div>You will be educated to GCSE level in English and Maths or equivalent </div>
<div>Hold previous experience of working in a busy office environment</div>
<div>Have the ability to work independently or as part of a team</div>
<div>Demonstrable experience of managing conflicting priorities within set deadlines</div>
<div>Excellent skills in Office IT systems, including Microsoft Outlook, (both email and calendar management), Word, Excel and SharePoint</div>
<div>Experience of working in an HR team using People XD or a similar system is desirable but not essential.</div>

<div>We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Community Coordinator to join Oxford Cancer for a full time 12-month maternity cover post.</div>

<div>Cancer Research UK (CRUK) is developing a Data Science Community, aiming to bring together researchers, data scientists, bioinformaticians, technicians, clinicians and more across the UK and beyond who are interested in or using data-driven approaches to accelerate progress in cancer research. The community is organised around eight interest groups, each representing a priority area in data science and addressing key challenges and opportunities across the research landscape.</div>

<div>Oxford Cancer is working together with CRUK to support the development of this new Data Science Community and we are looking to appoint a full time Research Community Coordinator based at the Oxford University’s Biomedical Research Campus in Headington. This role is the critical link between the cancer research data community and CRUK. The role will be responsible for the overarching management and development of the CRUK Data Science Community, coordinating interest group community leads and managers and supporting a broad range of activities to ensure the community is vibrant, inclusive and useful for its members.  The post will also work very closely with CRUK’s Research Data Strategy team, ensuring the CRUK Data Science Community is connected up to wider activities in the organisation and that the community strategy evolves accordingly.</div>

<div>This post is based at the <strong>Oxford Cancer, OCDEM,</strong> Churchill Hospital, OX3 7LE and is offered on a full-time fixed term basis for 12 months (maternity cover). The role is hybrid with up to two days per month required at CRUK's head office in Stratford, London.</div>

<div><strong>About you</strong></div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>You will have a PhD in data science and/or cancer research or another relevant field or equivalent experience. You will have experience of working in health data spaces, alongside proven community management experience, ideally in researcher communities. You will demonstrate proven project management and organisational skills, as well as possessing a demonstrable track record of stakeholder buy-in. You will be able to demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills across all levels, from working with senior academics to health data support staff and be comfortable managing collaborative tools such as Slack. You will have experience of developing, organising and running large in-person and online events, particularly for research communities.  Experience in evaluating community engagement and developing community strategy would be advantageous.</div>
