Working together with teams from the Institute of Cancer Research, University of Aberdeen and the South African Medical Research Council, we have been awarded funding from the Wellcome Trust to reduce the environmental impact whilst ensuring the success of clinical trials. The Liverpool team will identify research gaps surrounding carbon footprinting and appraise evidence-based mitigation strategies to reduce known hotspots. The postholder will join the TMRP Greener Trials Group, http://methodologyhubs.mrc.ac.uk/about/working-groups/trial-conductwg/tcwg-subgroup-greener-trials/, collaborating with international groups to achieve this common goal.
You should have: a first degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline and a postgraduate degree in a relevant area; relevant experience in conducting qualitative or quantitative research including data collection and data analysis; work experience in some aspect of clinical trials, be it design, conduct or analysis.
The post is available full time for 2 years.
