Our growing Northampton office are looking for a Tax Manager to join them on a permanent basis.
The role of the Tax Manager is to provide mixed tax compliance and advisory services in support of the Tax Director / Tax Partner to office clients, maximising fee income and generating new client and consultancy work from a portfolio.
Our region looks after a range of large entrepreneurial clients and a significant part of the role is delivering tax advisory projects for these clients. Typical projects include:
- Capital reduction demergers and corporate restructuring
- Advice for shareholders (corporate and family) on disposals (typical values range from £10-100m)
- Tax due diligence
- Share scheme planning (EMI, growth shares etc.)
We are looking for an individual with some experience of tax advisory work although this may only be on limited areas. Most importantly, we are looking for motivated and forward-thinking individuals who are keen to develop their skills and build great relationships with existing and future clients.
There is plenty of scope to progress beyond this role. The Firm is rapidly growing its tax advisory practice and overall client base.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Current technical knowledge
- Corporate tax experience in an OMB environment
- Some advisory experience
- Strong communication both oral and written
- Commercial awareness / client focus / client relationship skills
