The Sentinel Stroke National Audit Programme (SSNAP) is the single source of stroke data in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The Senior Operations Officer will oversee and monitor specific elements of the Stroke Programme including the complex and frequent SSNAP clinical audit reporting schedule. This involves coordinating input from across the Stroke programme team, implementing effective project management techniques, and working closely with other members of the team to ensure effective dissemination of the reports.
The role will also involve developing and implementing effective strategic approaches for improving the ease of use, functionality, and online reporting features of the SSNAP webtool, maintaining and enhancing the quality of SSNAP data, and improving participation in all elements of the Stroke Programme, particularly in the post-acute setting. It will also require negotiation with other national stakeholders collecting data and ensuring buy-in from very busy clinicians at a time of pressure clinically and financially.
