The Department of Twin Research (DTR), King's College London, are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Engagement and Communication role to manage, engage and enthuse our large cohort of twin research volunteers within the TwinsUK resource and to communicate our research discoveries to a diverse audience. TwinsUK is based in the DTR at St. Thomas' Hospital but has close links with Divisional and other Research Departments within King's as well as outside Research Organisations such as the Wellcome Trust and other UK cohort studies within the UK and Twin cohorts internationally.
The post holder will be required to work closely with the Executive Director as well as other managerial staff and teams. She/he will focus on increasing engagement of research volunteers and improving the volunteer experience through PPI (patient and public involvement), running participant retention projects as well as disseminating the results and successes of TwinsUK and DTR to external audiences. The role will cross over all areas of the Department's work, including media and public relations, digital communications, social media, public engagement events and publications and research and the post holder will work closely with other communications teams in King's and Guys & St Thomas' BRC.
This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract until 31st Dec 2020.
The selection process will include a panel interview and an assessment.
