PET Centre Practice Development Radiographer/ Imaging Technologist
Department : PET Imaging Centre Facility

About You

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria 
  1. Full BSc / Diploma in Radiography or recognised Nuclear Medicine qualification  
  2. Hands-on prior experience of working in PET or Nuclear Medicine, including handling blood products and unsealed radiation sources  
  3. Sound awareness of clinical research methodology  
  4. Experience of delivering teaching/training  
  5. Extensive knowledge of imaging techniques and principles used in PET, CT and NM.  
  6. Strong correspondence, presentation and report writing skills  
  7. Excellent computer literacy and IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) 
  8. Good interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate highly complex information effectively at all levels and overcome barriers to understanding  
  9. Proven ability to make decisions, organise and prioritise own work in a busy work environment and time critical situations
 
Desirable criteria
  1. Registration with IPEM or HCPC  
  2. Postgraduate qualification in relevant imaging or research topic  
  3. Good understanding of the principles of Total Body PET  
  4. Experience of developing new clinical and research imaging protocols in line with local rules and Good Clinical Practice
