Postdoctoral Research Associate
Department : Gene Therapy and Regenerative Medicine

About You:

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
 
Essential Criteria
  1. PhD submitted / awarded in iPSC or Stem Cells related field
  2. Experience with cell culture techniques, including maintenance of iPSCs and differentiation into pancreatic cell types
  3. Experience in gene editing, confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, image analysis and molecular biology
  4. Experience in presenting stem cell work in international conferences
  5. Experience in publishing scientific articles in quartile 1 journals 
  6. Good organisation skills and attention to detail
  7. Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Desirable Criteria 
  1. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative research environment.
  2. Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and data analysis methods for omics data
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Please note that this is a PhD level role but candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting award of their PhDs will be considered. In these circumstances the appointment will be made at Grade 5, spine point 30 with the title of Research Assistant. Upon confirmation of the award of the PhD, the job title will become Research Associate and the salary will increase to Grade 6.
