Postdoctoral Research Associate in Ultrahigh Field MRI
Department : Biomedical Engineering

About You

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
 
Essential criteria
  1. PhD qualified in relevant subject area (or pending results)*.
  2. 1st or 2nd class honours degree
  3. Experience with MR scanning technology, methodology and their clinical application
  4. Expertise and knowledge of MR physics and MR sequence development
  5. Experience of working with image data (e.g. postprocessing and image reconstruction)Ability to work without close supervision
  6. Ability to work without close supervision
 
Desirable criteria
  1. Experience with ultrahigh field MR including safety assessment
  2. Knowledge and experience of sequence programming on Siemens MR systems
  3. Knowledge and experience of advanced MR image reconstruction including motion and distortion correction
  4. Experience with functional MRI acquisitions and experiments
  5. Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment

* Please note that this is a PhD level role but candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting award of their PhDs will be considered. In these circumstances the appointment will be made at Grade 5, spine point 30 with the title of Research Assistant. Upon confirmation of the award of the PhD, the job title will become Research Associate and the salary will increase to Grade 6.
