The Disabilities Trust is seeking a social care Team Leader or Support Worker looking to progress their career to join us working at our Autism & Physical Disabilities Service in Cramlington, Northumberland.
This position is a Fixed Term Contract for 6 months.
Jane Percy House provides high quality support for adults with Physical Disabilities.
Our aim is to support service users to live the lifestyle of their choice and promote independence, focussing on their individual goals and aspirations.
As one of our Team Leaders, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting our Service Users. We are seeking highly motivated individuals with vision and commitment to assist the service in delivering quality person-centred support.
The person we are looking for needs to be an enthusiastic, motivated and caring individual who has the skills to communicate effectively and work as part of a multidisciplinary team, ideally with management or mentoring experience of Support Workers. The post involves enabling, guiding, supporting and assisting people with physical disability in the performance of daily living functions; development of personal skills and potential.
- To contribute to and have responsibility for providing quality social and vocational support services for service users within a specified group at a specified location or group of locations.
- To lead, supervise and develop a team of support workers to ensure the needs of the service users are met according to their individual support plan in line with company policy and procedures and regulatory standards.
For this role, The Disabilities Trust are able to pay a very competitive hourly rate of £9.38 per hour + £1 per hour weekend working enhancement and you will also receive 33 Days Annual Leave (Including Bank Holidays), Life Assurance and Pension.
