The Disabilities Trust is recruiting for Rehabilitation Support Worker on a 35 hour contract to assist the support team at our brain injury unit - Fen House, located in Ely, Cambridgeshire.
Fen House is a residential rehabilitation service that provides accommodation and innovative personal care for up to 25 adults with acquired brain injury. This unit provides neurobehavioral assessment and rehabilitation services for adults with cognitive, physical and/or emotional symptoms as a result of their brain injury.
As a Rehabilitation Support Worker, you will be responsible for contributing towards the planning and implementation of comprehensive individual programmes, which facilitate the development and practice of skills that are necessary to enable service users to live in their preferred living environments. This will include facilitating the daily routines of the service user(s).
What are we looking for?
Suitable applicants will have excellent communication skills - both verbal and written - and have a passion for helping others.
Previous care experience is desirable but not essential.
What will you receive?
You will receive an hourly rate of £8.57 per hour plus an extra £1 per hour on weekends and bank holidays.
You will receive annual leave, sick pay, pension scheme and life assurance as well as training, induction, DBS certificate and care certificate free of charge.
Hours: 35 hours per week on a rotational basis
Shifts: 7:45am - 3pm and 2:30pm - 10pm
no night work required for this position.
